What would happen to you if you gave up all of your beliefs? Would you still be you? Would anything happen? Would it change anything if you didn't believe in it?

In today's NTI Daily Lesson, there is a phrase that is worth repeating here:

Realize that the thinking mind, which analyzes and separates and makes judgments and rejects, is a mechanical machine that is not you. It is mechanical, because it is habit. And it is a machine, because it was made. But it is not you, because you are the maker of that which you made.

If you believe you are the thinking mind, you will have the experience of being the thinker - or at the very least, what you think. If you believe you are the observer watching the thinking mind, you will have the experience of being the observer. If you believe you are the body, then you have the experience of being a body.

None of your beliefs, however, change the Truth of who you ARE. They only affect the experiences you have.

Therefore, they key to awakening MUST include the releasing of your beliefs.

Try this today:

Believe in nothing.
Do not answer the mind's questions.
Be still.

You CAN have the experience of total peace no matter what appears to happen in the world because the world was made from your belief that you could be something you are not - separated from your Creator.
