DartyDarts

The Idea

Darts is a game of arithmetic played by people who would rather be throwing. Somebody has to track the score, subtract from 501 under pressure, remember whose turn it is, and settle what counted as a double. The software that does this is mostly an afterthought bundled with a board, and it shows.

DartyDarts is my attempt at the version that isn't an afterthought: it talks to an electronic board over Bluetooth so throws land in the app as they happen, handles the classic games properly, and keeps real statistics instead of just a running total.

What It Does

• Bluetooth board support - Discovers and connects to an electronic dartboard so hits register automatically
• The classic games - 301, 501, and Cricket, plus custom game definitions
• Multi-player - Tracks several players through a match, with turn handling and per-player history
• Match statistics - Results export to CSV, so averages and trends survive past the session
• Sound and a dark theme - Readable across a room in a dim pub or garage, which is where darts actually gets played

Status

DartyDarts is a genuine side project and entirely separate from the audio work. It is unfinished, and it stays that way for now — I am returning to it once the audio products are released. It is here because it is real and it is coming, not because it is ready.

Licensing

DartyDarts will be commercial, proprietary software — licensed, not sold. Its source is not publicly available.
